Established in 1984, Artist-Blacksmith Andrew Findlay and his assistants traditionally
forge stock metal bars and plate at a red to near-white heat at the restored
18th century Blacksmith's Shop on The Eastnor Castle Estate near Ledbury. Here, using hydraulic presses, power hammers and hand tools, richly textured, sometimes organic forms are produced, which are then joined to form sculptural gates, railings, ballustrading, lighting, fire furniture, and many other items, all designed to complement their environment. Andrew makes forged metalwork for several leading Architectural and Design firms, and after 20 years of working exclusively to commission for their clientele, he is pleased to announce the introduction of a range of garden structures with a difference. |
